To combat the sophisticated, interconnected crime rings behind cargo theft, Brosseau recommends a multi-level approach including site security, high tech locks, geolocation tools, and camera systems. All these tools are part of an effective theft deterrence strategy, but they are not a final solution. To combat cargo theft, you must look beyond the crime scene, understand the organized theft rings targeting your cargo, and then put the people, processes, and technology in place to defeat it.
